外交部回應(yīng)新任美國駐華大使抵京履職：中方愿提供便利，望美方與中方相向而行。

在5月15日的外交部記者會上，有外媒記者就新任美國駐華大使龐德偉抵京履職提問。

At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 15, a foreign reporter asked about the arrival and assumption of duties in Beijing of the new US Ambassador to China David Perdue.

對此，外交部發(fā)言人林劍表示，我們愿為龐德偉大使來華履職提供便利。中方對中美關(guān)系的立場一以貫之，我們始終堅持相互尊重、和平共處、合作共贏的原則來看待和處理中美關(guān)系，也希望美方和中方相向而行。

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that China is willing to facilitate Ambassador Perdue in carrying out his duties. China’s position on China-US relations remains consistent, we view and handle the relationship based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, and we hope the US side will meet the Chinese side halfway, he noted.
